I am Ting Pan, a second year at UCSB, and majoring in Mathematics. I currently live in IV with my friends. We have a bright living room and sometimes we invite people to have a dinner party. I was born and raised in Changzhou, a beautiful city in southern Jiangsu province of China. I am the only child in my family and my parents are the closest people to me. They always stand by me and support me. My father is humorous and likes to have joke with me. My mother is gentle and I can share everything with her. I had learned to play the piano for more than six years from a young age and I love music. The Newsroom and In Time With You (a Taiwanese show) are my favorite shows. A Hong Kong movie, Almost a Love Story, is the most touching movie I have watched. Recently, I have found that Running Man, which is a South Korean variety show, is quite attractive. During spring break, I went back China because I really missed Chinese food. My mother is good at cooking and I love hot pot and Hong Shao Rou most. I fell in love with curry when traveling to Seattle because Thailand restaurants there were wonderful. Before Writing2, I took Linguistic courses. These courses helped me a lot in academic English writing. After graduating from UCSB, I plan to be a graduate in the other country, such as Singapore or the UK, because I want to know more about the world and change to another life in a different country.
